Jason Freeland

Director of Analytics

Jason has over 15 years of business strategy, finance and advanced analytics experience as both a business leader and a consultant to the C-Suite. He has served a diverse array of companies and industries including building design & construction, luxury vehicle brands, telecommunications technology, quick-serve restaurants, academic health systems and government agencies. He received his MBA from Emory University in 2013 and certifications in Analytics from Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania in 2020.

Prior to joining Practical Growth Advisors, Jason founded the Atlanta office of a Data Science consulting firm where he led advanced analytics projects for Chick-fil-A, Porsche, Coca-Cola and LeasePlan. Engagements included the creation of machine learning algorithms for optimization of digital marketing spend, predictive modeling for national inventory levels at the zip code market level, and comprehensive business modeling for in-house on-demand delivery strategies. Prior to his work in data science, he was VP of Strategy and Business Intelligence at DataPath, Inc. where he worked closely with Emmett Moore for several years.

Jason began his career as an architect specializing in the design of hospitals. He spent 10 years at one of the largest construction companies in the world where he progressed from a lead design architect to VP of Healthcare Design where he managed a $15M design group with P&L responsibility, while assisting the OpCo CEO with strategic planning, acquisition integration, and serving as the chair of the company’s Healthcare Clients Advisory Panel.

Jason has lived in Atlanta, Georgia for over 20 years and currently divides his time between Atlanta and Singapore where his wife is leading Human Resources for Kimberly Clark’s International Personal Care division.
